Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the BTQ Capture app and this website collect, how it is used, and how it is protected. BTQ Capture is a private operational tool for authorized field staff; it is not a consumer social product and does not sell data or use it for advertising.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the BTQ Capture mobile app (iPhone, iPad) and to gregstoltz.com. BTQ Capture is provided to authorized field staff and operators to record on-site work. Access requires an invitation and a personal access token; the app is not intended for the general public or for children under 13.
Information we collect
BTQ Capture collects only what is needed to record field work that you choose to submit:
Captured content — photos, optional voice notes, and typed notes you record about a job site.
Capture details — the site or location you select, timestamps, and basic device information needed to upload and process your submission reliably.
Identity — your name and the access token issued to you, so a submission can be attributed to the correct person and site.
The app accesses your camera and microphone only while you are actively capturing, and only to create the photo or voice note you are submitting. It does not track your location in the background or collect contacts, browsing, or advertising identifiers.
How we use it
Captured information is used solely for legitimate business operations: keeping an accurate record of field work, quality control, and tracking supplies, equipment, and site issues. It is reviewed by authorized operators before any action is taken. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale, and we do not use it to build a profile of you beyond your work submissions.
How it is stored and shared
Submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on private, access-controlled servers operated for the business. We do not sell your information and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
We may use a small number of trusted service providers (for example, secure cloud storage or transcription) strictly to operate the service, under terms that limit their use of the data to providing that service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
Submissions and their derived records are retained as part of the operational record for as long as needed for business and recordkeeping purposes, and are then deleted or archived. You can request deletion of a specific submission attributed to you (see Contact); we will honor such requests except where we are required to retain the record.
Your choices
Capturing and submitting is always your action — nothing is collected unless you record and submit it. You may decline camera or microphone access in your device settings, though the app needs them to capture. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information attributed to you, contact us using the details below.
Children
BTQ Capture is a workplace tool for authorized adult staff and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
